To Anyone Newly Diagnosed: This Is What I Wish I Knew on Day 1
If I could go back to that first day—the one filled with fear, confusion, and a thousand questions—here’s what I’d tell myself:
✨ You’re not alone.
There’s a whole community out here who gets it. You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. You’ll find support, answers, and people who truly understand.
⏳ You will find your rhythm.
It won’t happen overnight, but it will happen. The numbers, the doses, the food, the emotions—it will start to make sense. You’ll learn your body and your needs. Give yourself time.
💉 Insulin isn’t the enemy — it’s your friend.
It might feel scary at first, but insulin is the reason you get to live, thrive, and dream again. It’s not a punishment. It’s a powerful tool that’s here to help you feel better.
