Managing diabetes is a 24/7 job. No breaks, no days off.
Some days, I feel strong and on top of everything. My numbers are steady, my energy is good, and I feel like I’ve got this.
Other days? I feel tired. Defeated. Like no matter what I do, it’s not enough.
This post is an honest look at diabetes burnout — something I never knew was so real until I lived it.
What I’m learning:
- To give myself grace on the hard days
- To ask for support (and accept it)
- To celebrate small wins, even if it’s just getting through the day
- That I’m allowed to rest
- And that being tired doesn’t make me weak — it makes me human
If you’re in a rough patch, you’re not alone. This journey is hard, but we don’t have to do it perfectly to be doing it well.
One step, one check, one day at a time.
